Nash County Elementary Schools Implement New Dress Code

Posted Updated

NASH COUNTY, N.C. — Two elementary schools in Nash County are joining other local schools that have implemented a more defined dress code.

A new uniform policy requires students at D. S. Johnson Elementary School and Swift Creek Elementary School to wear khakis and polo shirts.

Including Johnson and Swift Creek schools, five of the county's 17 elementary schools will be in uniforms during the 2005-2006 school year.

All Nash-Rocky Mount middle schools implemented the policy this school year.

Some principals want the board to consider uniforms on the high school level.
