Power Restored After Brief Outage In Raleigh

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Power has been restored to all customers in the Avent Ferry Road/Gorman Street area after a brief outage Friday morning.

Progress Energy officials said the outage was caused by a faulty insulator on a power pole.

At the height of the outage, 1,400 customers were without power. Athens Drive High School was affected by the outage, but it did not cause any problems.

The outage lasted nearly two hours.
