Fayetteville Police Release Name Of Man Found Dead In House

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police released the name of a man found dead in his house Wednesday night.

Police say Robert James Berry, 25, of 2074 Seneca Drive, was shot once in the head in what they are calling a homicide.

At about 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, an anonymous call was received by dispatchers requesting officers to check on the house.

Upon arrival, officers checked the perimeter of the home and after receiving no answer entered through the unlocked front door.

Upon entering officers discovered Berry's body in a rear bedroom.

Investigators do not have a motive or suspect at this time.
