Suspect In Fayetteville Club Shooting In Custody After Chase

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person is in custody this morning after leading Cumberland County authorities on a chase.

Police say Armenderiz Evans stole a car after firing shots outside a Fayetteville club around 3:30 Monday morning.

He led officers on a chase before crashing into a tree, police said. He was captured in some nearby woods.

Evans was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, felony fleeing to elude, driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, careless and reckless driving and assault with a deadly weapon.
