Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Hoke County deputies have arrested two men in the shooting death of a 23-year-old woman.

Investigators believe Tony Locklear and Kelvin Smith broke into April Pate's house to rob her earlier in January and ended up killing her. Authorities believe Pate knew at least one of the men.

Locklear and Smith are charged with first-degree murder. They were denied bond and are in the Hoke County jail.
