Arrests Made In Cumberland Home Invasion, Rape

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Two people face charges for a home invasion and rape of a Fayetteville woman.

Investigators said Nigel Stewart, 24, of Fayetteville, broke into the victim's house Friday night.

They said the victim was alone when the suspects entered the residence, held her at gunpoint and demanded money.

Stewart is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a deadly weapon and felonious conspiracy. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on $400,000 bond.

A 15-year-old boy also faces charges in the case and is being held in Cumberland County's Juvenile Detention Center.
