Cary Mayor Requests Tax Money To Build Aquatic Center

Posted Updated

CARY, N.C. — Cary Mayor Ernie McAlister is making one final sales pitch to Wake County commissioners and Raleigh City Council members.

He wants them to approve spending money from the city's hotel/motel tax fund on a new aquatic center in Cary.

One third of the tax money comes from Cary and Morrisville, and Mayor McAlister says his town deserves a fair share of that money back.

In the next two weeks, the City Council members and county commissioners will decide how to spend the money.
