Morrisville To Cut Water Service Tuesday To Fix Leak

Posted Updated

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — The public works department for the town of Morrisville will disconnect water service on Tuesday in order to repair a water leak.

The following locations will be affected: Chapel Hill Road, Aviation Parkway, Cotton Drive, Sunset Avenue, Fairview Road, Church Street, Page Street, Ashe Street, Carolina Avenue, Scoggins Avenue, Morris Street and Franklin Upchurch Road.

Service will be disconnected from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After water service has been restored, officials are asking that people check the water quality before using your washing machine or dishwasher. If your water appears cloudy, you should run faucets for a few minutes to let any air in the lines escape.

If your water appears to be rust-colored or contains sediment, you should run your faucet for a few minutes (or until clear) to expel it.
