LUMBERTON, N.C. — Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a Lumberton police officer's son.

They say Frank Yambo Jr. shot into a St. Pauls house in August, killing Jennie Revels, who was asleep inside. Yambo told reporters he thought the house was empty.

Revels was the aunt of former Miss North Carolina Rebekah Revels.

Jason Bunner, another suspect in the case, also faces charges in the case.
