FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was arrested Friday and charged with sex crimes against children involving a game of truth or dare, authorities said.

Barry Wayne Blevins, 40, of 4117 Fulton St., is charged with four felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, six felony counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, two felony counts of aiding and abetting crimes against nature, six felony counts of disseminating obscene materials to a minor and six felony counts of using a minor to assist in obscenity.

Authorities said a man engaged in a game of truth or dare with a group of children, encouraging them to participate in sexual acts with one another. The man drove the children, who range in age from 11 to 15, around their neighborhood and coerced them to play the game, authorities said.

Blevins is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $150,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
