Art Exhibit Shows Off Downtown Durham's History

DURHAM, N.C. — People heading to downtown Durham can now get an artistic glimpse of the area's history.

Fifty paintings by Bob Blake will be on display inside the American Tobacco Project's Strickland Building. The watercolors show downtown Durham during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

The exhibit opens at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The paintings will be on display for a month.
