WARRENTON, N.C. — A Warren County animal protection group won a legal victory Monday.
Citizens for Animal Protection seized 27 dogs from the Parktown Hunting Club earlier in September.
A Warren County judge ruled the hunters cannot get them back until a court hears the evidence of animal cruelty.
The hunters claim some of the dogs seized were not in bad medical condition. The hearing is set for October.
