Police Clear Fayetteville School Of Any Wrongdoing

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A well-known private Fayetteville school is no longer under investigation.

The Haynie School closed suddenly last week.

Owner Gail Autry said there was not enough students to pay the bills. Parents were surprised and contacted police.

Officers thought it was a possible fraud case, but after investigating, they do not believe Autry committed any crime. She promises to pay teachers and refund parents.
