Apex House Fire Sends Two To Hospital

Posted Updated

APEX, N.C. — Two women were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after their Apex home caught fire Tuesday night.

The Apex fire chief says the mother and daughter had just moved into the home on Fallen Oak Drive and were unpacking boxes when they noticed the fire. They ran next door to call 911.

Investigators were searching the downstairs hallway for the cause.

The fire chief says the women were taken to the hospital as a precaution and are expected to be OK.
