RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County's newest alternative school is an alternative in more ways than one.
The Hedingham Oaks Office Complex off U.S. Highway 64 is slated to become a new alternative middle school.
It is one way the school system is turning preexisting sites into school buildings.
Wake school officials say they will need an estimated 60 new schools by the year 2020.
