The stars of the national touring production of the Broadway musical “Movin’ Out” sat down recently to talk to WRAL’s David Crabtree.

Holly Cruikshank, who plays “Brenda” in the national tour of the Tony Award winning hit produced by Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp, began dancing at the age of 3. When she turned 18, she gave up dreams of becoming a ballet dancer to make her debut on the Great White Way.

Holly has been seen in “The Will Roger’s Follies”, “Hello Dolly”, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, and “Contact.” She is also a former student of the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem.

Darren Holden, who stars as “The Piano Man”, comes from a successful career as a country-rock performer in Europe.

Holden began touring with his first band at the age of 16, and had several hit singles in Ireland before taking on the lead singing role in “Riverdance”, which he performed on Broadway and across the United States. His country album “Live & Learn” produced three Top 40 airplay hits.

Holden also performs the national anthems of the U.S. and Canada at major league sports venues across the continent.

"Movin' Out" will be at Raleigh's Memorial Auditorium through Jan. 7.
