GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Members of the Goldsboro chapter of the NAACP traveled to Washington, D.C., Monday to meet with members of the Office of Civil Rights to discuss the alleged segregation in city schools.
Officials claim the six schools in the city limits are almost 100 percent black.
The NAACP filed a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights earlier this year.
Monday's meeting lasted four hours and those who attended say it was productive.
