WILSON'S MILLS, N.C. — Johnston County has lifted a mandatory
water conservation order
that had been in effect since Tuesday.
The order officially was lifted at noon Wednesday.
Town officials had shut down the Wilson's Mills plant Tuesday because of a problem involving the chemicals that treat the water.
The county had asked customers not to water their lawns or wash their cars until the water supply was replenished.
WRAL was told Wednesday that the treatment plant and storage had returned to normal levels.
