Billboard Warns Felons About Carrying Gun In Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A new billboard lets gun-toting felons know they could face serious jail time.

The billboard, located at the corner of Brightleaf Boulevard and Market Street in Smithfield, warns convicted felons they could face five to 10 years in federal prison for carrying a gun.

A federal grant paid for the billboard.
