RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker is pitching a new plan to fight predatory towing.
His latest plan suggests no towing between 6 p.m and 6 a.m. unless a vehicle has been parked for more than six hours.
Meeker's amendment would only apply to a certain part of downtown and would limit fees companies could charge to release booted or towed cars.
His first proposal was shot down in committee last month.
