Wake County Workers Can Ride City Buses For Free

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County workers are finding it a little easier to get around town.

Raleigh's

Capital Area Transit system

, CAT, has expanded its U-PASS program.

Beginning Thursday, all Wake County government employees can ride city buses free of charge by showing a valid Wake County employee identification card.

The county joins the City of Raleigh, State of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, Shaw University, and St. Augustine's College by participating in the UPASS program.

The program does not include Wake County School System staff or students.
