NASH COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators believe speed was a factor in a wreck that killed two people in near the Wilson-Nash County line late Tuesday.
Witnesses say it appears a car driving on the wrong side of the road slammed head-on into a sport utilty vehicle on Old Smithfield Road near Williams Road just before 10 p.m.
The car's driver, Jose Reyna, 21, and a passenger, Christian Carmona, 23, died.
Juventino Sanchez, who was in the SUV, was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were not life threatening.
