SBI Agent Will Not Face Charges In Robeson Shooting

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — An agent with the State Bureau of Investigation who shot a man will not face charges in connection with the shooting.

According to prosecutors, Sammy Bailey answered the door at his Robeson County home in February holding an assault rifle.

When Bailey raised the weapon, SBI agent Donovan Deaver shot him in self-defense. Bailey survived the shooting.
