First Retail Company Joins American Tobacco Campus

DURHAM, N.C. — There is more good news for downtown Durham development. The American Tobacco campus has another new tenant.

Chambers Trophy Case plans to move into the restored complex. The small business is the first retail company to sign on with the project. When complete, the project will include 1 million square feet for restaurants, homes and businesses.

The retail company joins companies like McKinney and Silver, GlaxoSmithKline and Compuware. The first tenant will move in next month.

The American Tobacco campus is being developed by WRAL's parent company, Capitol Broadcasting.
