Clinton Police Charge Woman Who Brought Gun To School

RALEIGH, N.C. — Clinton police formally charged a woman Wednesday who brought a gun to her child's elementary school.

Linda Ervin is also charged with making threats. She interrupted a ceremony at L.C. Kerr Elementary earlier in May.

Rep. Bob Etheridge, who was at the event, helped school security subdue Ervin.

Ervin is currently in jail. She is banned from school property.
