RALEIGH, N.C. — Police in Raleigh hope one arrest will solve several bank robberies.

Investigators arrested Frank Branch in connection with an armed robbery at the Bank of America branch on Crabtree Boulevard Tuesday morning.

They say Branch was out of jail on bond for charges of robbing the First Citizens Bank on Avent Ferry Road in October.

Investigators are now looking at Branch as a possible suspect in a handful of robberies from last year.

They say his alleged method of riding a bicycle and using a handgun to demand money is similar to at least a couple of unsolved cases.

Branch was charged with two counts of armed robbery and is being held in the Wake County Jail.
