Wake County Golfer Injured In Pit Bull Attack

Posted Updated

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities say some golfers were playing Tuesday morning at the Wake Forest Golf Club when two pit bull dogs -- a male and female -- attacked them.

The male pit bull dog bit a golfer on the hand, but he is fine. The dogs were reportedly running loose across the golf course.

The pit bull dogs were caught and taken to the Wake County Animal Shelter.

The male pit bull dog will be quarantine for 10 days because, by law, an animal has to be observed when it attacks someone. The female will remain in the Wake County Animal Shelter until the owner claims the animal.
