ASHEBORO, N.C. — Visitors to the
North Carolina Zoo
will have an extra hour to see the animals for the next few months.
The zoo begins operating on its summer schedule Thursday and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The Africa entrance and parking lot also reopen.
The summer hours will remain in effect through Sept. 30.
The zoo is open daily year-round except Christmas Day.
Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors.
