RALEIGH, N.C. — Two construction workers died Monday in Wake County in separate accidents.

Officials say 28-year-old Juan Zepeda and two other workers were standing on a rebar structure on the southwest side of Carter-Finley Stadium around noon pouring concrete when the rebar structure gave way. Zepeda was pronounced dead. The conditions of the two workers have not been released yet.

The incident happened near Gate C where crews are building new luxury suites and a new pressbox.

More than a hour later, a construction worker moving a beam on a Holly Springs job site near Old Adams Road and South Main Street was killed when a large concrete culvert came loose from a backhoe and crushed him.

The name of the worker has not been released yet. The construction being done was related to the Highway 55 bypass project.

Inspectors with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incidents at both construction sites.
