FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — A fire in Franklin County killed a 90-year-old woman Sunday morning.
Minnie Faulkner died in the mobile home fire south of Louisburg.
Fire Chief Tim Smith believes a grease fire was to blame.
Smith said Faulkner was cooking at the time. She was able to dial 911, but could not speak and did not hang up.
Firefighters were able to trace the location from her call.
