Deon Partridge Sentenced To Life In Prison For Sonic Murder

RALEIGH, N.C. — The man convicted of murdering a fast-food restaurant worker has been sentenced to life in prison.

On Monday, the jury found Deon Partridge guilty of killing Donald Kersey during a robbery at a Raleigh Sonic Drive-In in September 2002. Partridge could have faced the death penalty.

Partridge's first trial ended in a mistrial after a key investigator committed suicide.
