Last Duke Lacrosse Rape Suspect Has Bond Lowered

Superior Court Judge Ronald Stephens reduced the bond of David Evans to $100,000 from $400,000. The order comes a week after Stephens cut the bond for Evans' co-defendant, Reade Seligmann, by the same amount. Collin Finnerty's bond was reduced by the same amount on Thursday.

Finnerty, 19, of Garden City, N.Y., Seligmann, 20, of Essex Fells, N.J., and Evans, 23, of Bethesda, Md., are charged with rape, kidnapping and sexual offense in the case.

All three players are free on bond. Their lawyers have strongly proclaimed their innocence.

The case began when a woman told police she was raped by three players at a March 13 team party where she was hired to perform as an exotic dancer.
