TONIGHT AT 11: State Enlists Big Brother To Keep Eye On Convicted Sex Offenders

Every step he takes, everywhere he goes, he's being watched.

"Joe" is one of 10 sex offenders in North Carolina being tracked through GPS, which stands for Global Positioning System. The state is testing the pilot program in Guilford and Davie counties.

"One of the riskiest and most manipulative offenders we have on the street is the sex offender," probation officer Sherri Cook said. "If an offender is placed on (a GPS), they're going to watch their P's and Q's."
