Three Killed In Brunswick County When SUV Traveling Wrong Way Collides With Truck

LELAND, N.C. — Three men were killed and two others criticallyinjured when a pickup truck collided with a sport utility vehiclegoing the wrong way on a Brunswick County road.

Authorities say 22-year-old Rodrigo Bustos and his 25-year-old brother, Miqueas, died at the scene of Friday night's accident onU.S. 74-76.

Two other Bustos brothers, Abraham and Joaquin, were listed in serious condition at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Saturday night.

Also killed was the SUV's driver, 56-year-old Richard Huff of Leland.

The brothers were traveling in a Nissan pickup when it was struck by a Dodge Durango driven by Huff.

Police say Huff was new to the area and may have accidentally entered the highway on an exit ramp, causing him to go the wrongway.

The Bustos were living together in the Columbus County town of Delco.
