WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Greensboro and Kernersville policeofficers joined in a midmorning chase of a holdup suspect, endingtheir pursuit when the suspect's car crashed.
Authorities say the chase began after a man robbed a Subwayrestaurant in Greensboro. Another man called police, saying he wasfollowing the suspect's vehicle.
Greensboro police chased the suspect's car into Forsyth County,where the suspect wrecked near the N.C. 66 exit on BusinessInterstate 40 in Kernersville.
The suspect was injured in the crash and taken to BaptistHospital for treatment.
