DURHAM, N.C. — A longtime critic of the Durham school system is banned from all school property.
Sheryl Smith was found guilty recently of trespassing at Hillside High School.
School officials called Smith a safety threat to students and staff.
Smith claimed she was at Hillside for a school board meeting that was a public function. Smith has appealed the verdict.
