CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities are searching for a man linked to more than two dozen bank robberies in seven states across the Southeast.

The robberies include hold-ups in Raleigh, Cary, Fayetteville, Rocky Mount, Pineville and Lumberton. He also has robbed banks in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky, authorities said.

The man is described as between 45 and 55 years old and about 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has a stocky build, straight hair and a short beard and mustache.

The man often wears a bandage on his right forearm, which authorities said could cover a tattoo or birth mark. He also has worn a hat, most often made of a camouflage material, in several robberies.

No bank employees or customers have been injured in any of the bank robberies, but the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the bank robbery suspect is asked to call the North Carolina FBI at (704) 377-9200 or the nearest law enforcement office.
