The body of Jose Luis Sifuentes Castillo, 41, of Cary, was found inside a burning pickup truck on a trail off Massey Chapel Road in southern Durham County on Oct. 16, authorities said. He had been shot, but authorities have declined to say how many times.
Authorities earlier identified the owner of the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado dooley pickup as Juan Jose Martinez Castillo. There was no word on whether investigators have located him yet.
Jose Castillo, who owned a drywall installation business, was last seen at the Illusions nightclub in Cary in the early hours of Oct. 16, authorities said.
Authorities are searching for Wendell Alomar Cabrera, who was seen with him at the club, for questioning in the case.
