RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Supreme Court has received the appeal in a high-profile Raleigh murder case. The issue is whether or not defense attorney Rick Gammon should reveal what his dead client knew about the murder of an AIDS researcher..
Eric Miller died from arsenic poisoning in December 2000. Police allege Gammon's client, Derrill Willard, had an affair with Miller's wife, Ann.
Willard later killed himself and Ann Miller now lives in Wilmington.
The Supreme Court ruled in August that Gammon must reveal what he knows, but Gammon appealed the decision.
The justices have not decided yet whether or not to accept the appeal for review.
