Cary Jaycees parade: Sat., Dec. 9, 2 p.m., downtown

Lights on the Neuse: Wednesday through Sunday evenings until Dec. 31, 6-10 p.m. Includes a 45-minute hayride filled with magical lights and sounds, Santa's Sweet Shop and a visit with Santa; Boyette Farms, 1620 Loop Road, Clayton. Cost: $10 (ages 13 and older); $5 (ages 5-12); free (ages 5 and younger); $2 of every adult ticket will be donated to the Me Fine Foundation
