Wendell Teen Unharmed After Being Kidnapped From Bus Stop

Posted Updated

WENDELL, N.C. — Authorities in Wendell are looking for four people who they believe kidnapped a 17-year-old from his school bus stop at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

Police said the teen was waiting for his bus at the corner of Cornflower Drive and Fowlkes Street around 6 a.m. when a small, grey vehicle with four armed men inside stopped and forced him inside the vehicle.

The men reportedly asked for money, but since the student had none, they took only his coat.

Police said the teen was taken about six blocks and dropped off. He was not injured.
