The homicide occurred at 4055 Old Black Creek Road in Wilson County on Oct. 21. The vehicle was located about 3 a.m. Tuesday on Hill Road in Nash County.
Hill Road is a rural unpaved road located outside of Spring Hope.
Spring Hope police officer Curtis Hawkins found the vehicle abandoned. Detective Lt. Danny Bailey of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office responded to the location and seized the vehicle to be processed for evidence.
According to witnesses in the area, the vehicle has possibly been on Hill Road for about a week. A search warrant has been obtained for the vehicle, and the Wilson County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigative Unit is currently processing the vehicle.
The suspect, 21-year-old Favian Alvarran, was not located when the vehicle was found. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office is currently holding a warrant for Alvarran for the murder of Pablo Ramirez Ignacio.
