HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A 15-year-old Angier girl is dead after being hit by two separate cars.
Investigators say Debra McMillan was riding her bike with her father, Steve Tennyson, in a single-file line on Bryant Road in Harnett County when they were hit by an oncoming minivan. Another car swerved to avoid Tennyson, but ended up hitting McMillian, killing her.
Tennyson is listed in critical condition at the hospital. Both people were apparently wearing dark clothes and no helmets.
Troopers say no one will be charged in the accident.
