Cary Woman Faces One Count Of Animal Cruelty

Posted Updated

CARY, N.C. — A Cary woman turned herself in to authorities Wednesday on one misdemeanor animal cruelty charge after dead cats were found in her home.

Earlier in August, a Cary meter reader noticed a foul smell at Sylvia Bolden's house.

Police forcefully opened a back door and found 11 dead, decomposing cats.

Bolden is scheduled to appear in court in October.
