1 Killed, 1 Injured In Cumberland County Crash

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A South Carolina man was killed and his wife was injured in a wreck on Interstate 95 in Cumberland County early Monday morning.

The Highway Patrol said two people were in a GMC Yukon headed south on I-95 when the vehicle ran off the road, hit a Jersey barrier and overturned three times.

Troopers said it appeared the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The driver, Roland Livingston, 62, of Orangesburg, S.C. was killed. His wife, Brenda, is listed in critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

There is no word what caused the wreck.
