CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police have released sketches they hope will catch a kidnapper.

Police say the man kidnapped a 21-year-old woman Sunday night from the Mill Creek Apartment parking lot. She was taken in her vehicle and released several hours later. The abductor may have been armed with a gun.

Police have released two composite drawings of the kidnapper, one by the victim and one by a witness.

He is described as white, 25 to 40 years old. He is 5-foot-8-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighs 165 to 185 pounds. He has "slicked-back" blond hair and a dark tan.

The suspect was wearing work boots, dark blue or black swim trunks that came to his knees and no shirt. He was carrying a small, dark duffle bag with handles on the top.
