Duke Mold Cleanup May Take Longer Than Expected

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Officials said it may take Duke University longer than predicted to clean up a mold problem in two dorms.

The school discovered the non-toxic mold earlier in September at Mitchell and Decker halls.

Originally, officials hoped to clean it up in a few weeks, but they found the problem involved extensive duct work.

A representative from Duke University told WRAL crews will wait until fall or winter break to tackle the mold.
