Durham Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred near the intersection of Cheek Road and Hardee Street Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the U-Save convenience store on Hardee Street at 7:45 p.m. Officers found Kasheem Greene, 15, of 1835 Cheek Road, lying in the parking lot. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old female also suffered a gunshot wound to her shoulder, but her injury did not appear to be life-threatening. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are looking for a white or gray Ford Windstar van that was seen leaving the area.

Authorities are looking for a possible motive into the shooting.
