"They wanted money and jewelry and guns and stuff like that," said Shanta Richardson.
Richardson said the men threatened her daughter.
"They were going to kill me and the baby," she said.
She said she gave the two men what money and jewelry she had. Richardson told authorities her hands were tied with a telephone cord, and the assailants left without harming anyone. She was then able to free herself and care for the baby.
"The suspects removed the items from the home, placed them in the victim's vehicle and transported them to another location where we believe they had a car on standby," said Detective Bobby Martin with the Halifax County Sheriff's Department.
Martin said the men wanted to make sure they weren't followed.
"They slashed the driver's side tires front and back (on another car) so the victim could not get out and get anywhere she needed," he said.
Authorities said both men wore bandanas to hide their identity.
"I hope they will catch them, put them behind bars, do whatever, because I'm still scared. I haven't slept since it happened," said Richardson
Authorities said the incident is the second home invasion on Agri-John Road this year. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information in the case should call the Halifax County Sheriff's Department.
