At Least 1 Dead After Van Flips Along N.C. Highway
RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities have released the names of two men who died after a weekend accident in Four Oaks.

Moises Velasco Hernandez, 28, of Mexico, died from injuries he suffered Sunday morning after the van he and more than a dozen passengers were traveling in flipped along N.C. Highway 96 near Barrett Road.

On Monday, Eliceo Jimenez Santis, 16, also of Mexico, died at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said the driver of the van, who apparently fled the crash scene, drove too fast around a curve, causing the van to flip twice. Investigators still do not know the identity of the driver.

The van had been traveling to a Smithfield flea market at the time of the accident.
